2020 has kept us on our toes, and that is putting it lightly. Between the pandemic, heatwave, summer lightning storms, and now wildfires; there have been high tensions all around. But, there’s been something else around… Neighbors, lending a helping hand. Folks have been posting items they need on social media (a place to stay during evacuations, pins for displaced animals, food, diapers) and there’s been a huge response. It’s amazing to see our neighborhood pull together.

I’ve seen Mutual Aid stations in our neighborhood too, where folks can bring items for those in need. The fact that people care so much about one another to go above and beyond like that is amazing to me. The resiliency of Californian’s is incredible! If you would like to find out more about these stations, just reach out and I’ll get you in touch with the right people.
