This week, as my husband and I were discussing how grateful we felt for living downtown. We then started naming all the parks in the downtown area. I’ve listed them below and am shocked as to how many there are! These are just the parks that are in the general vicinity to downtown, so there are even more in the city of Martinez.
Our favorite downtown park, by far, is Rankin Park. It’s within walking distance to our home and connects to the Briones Trails (which goes for miles and miles). At Rankin Park, there is an aquatic center, multiple playgrounds, picnic areas with BBQs, and even a baseball diamond.
Our favorite park that is a few miles from downtown is Briones Regional Park. Our family has hikes the trails at Brionies countless times. In the park, there’s a creek that runs close to the hiking trails, so our CiCi pup can go for a quick swim!
