One of my favorite things about Downtown Martinez is the boutiques on every block. Here are a few of my favorite ones for Summer 2021.

CLOTHING & MERCANTILE
Faded Gold Vintage

Step back in time, when clothes were funky, jewelry was chunky and the tunes were wild. This is one of the coolest boutiques Martinez has had in a long time! The owner Rachel has created a shop where you can find amazing blouses from the ’50s to rock t-shirts from the ’90s. Their accessories are out of this world… I’ve seen anything from vintage Gucci handbags, to a wide variety of turquoise rings, and cowboy that would make John Wayne jealous. Walk right next door from Faded Gold Vintage and you’ll be at the front step of Mighty Market.

SPECIALTY
Mighty Market

Owned by two sisters, this bulk refill apothecary, and low waste shop is absolutely thriving in downtown. They started in the same shop Faded Gold Vintage is in now and quickly outgrew the space because of the high demand. Head in during a weekend or Farmers Market Sunday and you’re sure to see a crowd. They have products for the whole home and the whole family. We love taking our glass refillable bottles down to get them loaded back up with all our household soaps. They recently started carrying sodas and plant-based beverages, so that you can refresh after your day of shopping in Downtown Martinez!

Pandora’s Box

This eclectic boutique has roots in Turkey and has a long history in Martinez. Their mosaic lamps come in tons of different sizes and colors, as well as their decorative pillowcases. What I love most about this shop is the variety of incredibly detailed ceramics. If you know someone who loves bold colors, unique pieces, and fun flair, be sure to check out Pandora’s Box.

Thanks for checking out and supporting these wonderful local shops! Let me know when you’re headed to Downtown Martinez and I’ll walk down and meet you for a coffee at States or a brew at Del Cielo. 🙂
