It may seem like such a simple thing to do and say, but if you’re a workaholic or just passionate about your work, it can be hard! This week my mother was in town and I had a day blocked off for work, but instead, I took it off to be with her. All of my clients were out of town or simply booked, so it worked out perfectly. This is something that I was actually proud of myself for doing because I genuinely LOVE my work and love to work.
I’m so glad that I took the time off to be with family because we did something that we’d never done before. We took a limo up to Napa to go wine tasting and had an absolute blast! While in the Napa area we visited Reynolds Family Winery. This is a smaller winery, with big heart. We met the winemaker’s son, now manager, Cameron and he told us the entire story of how the winery came to fruition. He, his mother and father are all actively working in and on their business. They’re passionate about what they do and it shows.
Walking away from that experience left me feeling energized, appreciative of having a close family and realizing that I need to take more time to be with them. Cheers, to family!
