Martinez is known for many, many things… but did you know that we have the largest Bocce Ball League in America! Our Bocce Ball courts can host up to 15 games at a time, and has over two thousand members.
In reviewing the rules, these members are serious, there are over 4 pages of rules. In these rules, it states that there are to be specific Palliono sizes (this is the size of the ball). I highly suggest checking out the full website for details.
Although I don’t actively play bocce ball, watching the games and hanging out be the courts is a lot of fun. You can bring a cooler down to the Waterfront Park with you and take in the games.
