Though it doesn’t quite feel like fall (it’s currently 97˚ outside), it’s finally here. The mornings are crisp and the afternoons are as hot as the real estate market in Martinez! Around our home, we’ve busted out the chili & cornbread recipes, put out the pumpkins and changed out the decor. We’ve set a date for our annual Friendsgiving event and are getting excited about our neighborhood food drive.
The sense of community in Martinez is still amazing me, every single time we walk by a neighbor they say hello; we’ve seen folks collecting rubbish from the street; helping each other out at the grocery store, and so much more. Just today I had a neighbor stop me as I was leaving the house and they told me that they were looking forward to our upcoming event. It’s the little things that make the biggest impact in my life!
I mentioned real estate above, well there’s a GREAT event coming up (where you can see some of Martinez’s old real estate) that I’m thrilled to tell you about; the 13th Annual Martinez Historical Home Tour! There will be seven homes and two museums on this year’s tour. For more information and tickets, click THIS link.
