This past Saturday our family hosted a fun Earth Day event in our front yard. This was our first event back since the pandemic, so our family was really excited about it! We gifted all the attendee’s a young plant to grow in their garden, or as a gift for a friend.
It was such a blast! There were little ones playing around the yard; we got to connect with folks we hadn’t seen in a long time; it was low-key enough that we got to spend a good amount of time with friends. In addition to the young plant, we donated one The Canopy Project.
The Canopy Project is a responsible reforestation program that has planted tens of millions of trees across the globe since 2010. This helps stabilize land from erosion or natural disasters improves soil health and groundwater recharge, promote native and endemic find it and provide economic development to help strengthen the nearby communities.
