Creating connections is by far one of my favorite things to do! Just yesterday I had the opportunity to connect two sweet families. They have children that are the same age, and both live in the heart of Downtown Martinez. Good, ol’ fashion connections aren’t something that are as cherished as they used to be. Nowadays we think of connections as who we know online. Remember the matchmakers of many moons ago? Or when your grandmother would tell you “This family just moved in, let’s take them a tray of homemade cookies”… Let’s go back to that! Let’s create connections that will possibly last a lifetime!
This week I met with an incredible businesswoman who started her own restaurant from the ground up. She and I had originally met at a Chamber of Commerce event. Meeting with her re-iterated why I love being involved with the business community. I’m committed to becoming a larger part of the Martinez Chamber of Commerce and am so thrilled to bring further connections in our community.
I challenge you to connect with a new community member or create that connection for someone!
This week’s fun Martinez event is Rankin Park’s Pumpkin Dunkin’! Here is the link for more information about this great event ???? Pumpkin Dunkin ????
